Crime Stoppers and Petro-Canada partner to reduce crime at retail fuel sites across Canada

The Canadian Crime Stoppers Association (CCSA) is pleased to have entered into a new partnership agreement with Petro-Canada, a Suncor Energy Business. This new partnership will promote crime prevention in communities across Canada, with a particular focus on the prevention of fuel theft and the safety and security of customers and employees at retail fuel sites.

“Crime Stoppers supports the work that has already been done by Petro-Canada to promote safety at its retail fuel sites,” states CCSA President Ralph Page. “We look forward to the opportunities to continue that work with Petro-Canada and local police forces across the country to promote safety and reduce crime at retail gas stations.”

One of the first and most visible reminders of Crime Stoppers involvement and partnership with Petro-Canada will be information (in the form of a new decal) placed on every Petro-Canada fuel pump across Canada to remind its customers that fuel theft is a crime and to provide the Crime Stoppers Tip Line (1-800-222-TIPS) for those who see a crime happening.

Through this partnership, Crime Stoppers looks forward to reaching out to others in the industry to promote safety at every gas station in every community across Canada.

If you see criminal activity of any type, whether it is a fuel theft or other crime, please contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
