Crime Stoppers is looking for highly energized, dynamic professionals who are ready to join a fast-paced environment as a Tips-line Operator or Administrative Assistant. If this sounds like you, then consider a career with N.B. Crime Stoppers. All positions are based at our main office in Fredericton, N.B.

Requirements:
- Successful completion of Grade 12 education or an approved equivalent
- Must be at least 19 years of age and legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must not have any charges pending before the courts
- Must be of good moral character
- Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant
- Motivated and enthusiastic team contributor
- Applicants must successfully complete a variety of tests which may consist of typing, memory retention, written and console simulator
- Must have well-developed communication and organizational skills and be able to perform well in stressful situations
- Must be fluently bilingual; must be able to read/speak in both French and English
- Must not have been convicted of a criminal offence for which a pardon has not been granted
- Cognitive interpersonal skills, critical thinking, sound judgment and decision making
- Ability to apply effective and professional communication skills to obtain and disseminate information
- Have knowledge of Windows-based applications with an emphasis on word processing
- Be able to type/keyboard at 35 net w.p.m.; (An acceptable certificate for typing/keyboarding may be obtained from a high school, college, or commercial business school)
- Completion of a recognized Public Safety Communication Course would be considered an asset
- Experience in a customer service environment is valuable

- reference to computer and communicator courses

About our organization:
N.B. Crime Stoppers is a civilian, charitable organization in the province of New Brunswick, Canada comprised of 20 chapters and approximately 300 volunteers that bring together the resources of law enforcement, the media, and the general public to help combat crime in the community. Crime Stoppers is a program separate from the emergency telephone number system, which allows a member of the community to provide anonymous information about criminal activity. It thereby allows the person to provide crime solving assistance to the authorities without being directly involved in the investigation process.
