Greater Moncton Crime Stoppers

John Reid Memorial AwardGreater Moncton Crime Stoppers has set recognizing our volunteers as an important priority. At our annual BBQ in June 2016, Ron Alward was recognized as volunteer of the year for 2013, Peggy Rogers for 2014, and Eva Hayden for 2015 respectively.

The family of late GMCS President, John Reid donated a plaque in his memory and volunteers were honoured for the years 2010, 2011 and 2012. The use of the plaque had fallen out of practice but a decision was made to bring the plaque up-to-date and to name a volunteer of the year during Crime Stoppers month (January) each year.

Shown below are photos of the John Reid Memorial Plaque and individual plaques being presented by Vice-President, Yvon Comeau to our volunteers of the year. The pictures were taken by GMCS member and Provincial Promotions Director, Jim Gillies.
